Biography
Harley Saftler was so enamored by technology and the internet, he taught himself coding. He created his first website at 7 years old.
After two years studying mathematics at the Univ. of Colorado, Harley dropped out to start Partner Gurus with his friends at Divine Arts, a subsidiary of Eros Entertainment. Partner Gurus was one of the first digital media distribution companies in the United States. With a focus on YouTube, Harley built a community of content creators and employed his knowledge of SEO, web development, digital marketing and social networking to amplify his clients’ content. He represented the legendary rock n’ roll band Mountain and TV celebrity John Shea, to name a few.
When YouTube automated their digital distribution program, Harley returned to school at the CUNY to complete his degree in Multimedia Programming. While studying, he moonlighted as a freelance web developer for small and medium size businesses in the New York tri-state area. After three years, his portfolio included websites for Cynthia Rowley, Knitting Central, and renowned photographer, Elizabeth Jordan.
In 2013, he was spotted at a Christmas party by Tham Khai Meng, Ogilvy & Mather’s WWCCO. Khai invited him to join as Project Manager where he quickly became Khai’s right hand man.
After a year, Harley was promoted to Worldwide Creative Manager. As O&M’s global point of contact for all things creative, he liases with members of O&M’s Worldwide Creative Council and Khai—who serves as Chairman. As a result of working closely with the WWCCO, Harley has honed a keen sense for creative and is relied upon to identify digital opportunities. Harley has worked across many award-winning campaigns for Coca-Cola, IBM, Kimberly-Clark, British Airways, Tiffany & Co., Unilever Dove, and Mondelēz.
As Harley, Neo to his friends, fights the evils of mediocrity along the streets of New York City on his electric skateboard, he’s thinking of his next big idea to conquer the Matrix.
