Biography

Melinda Lee is Chief Content Officer at BuzzFeed, where she oversees the Media Brands division, which includes Tasty, Nifty, Goodful, As/Is and Playful. Melinda is responsible for growing and monetizing the brands as well as exploring new opportunities to reach their target audiences. Melinda manages BuzzFeed Media Brands’ editorial and business operations, pushing the division forward by leaning into new content forms and unique business models.

An industry veteran, Melinda leverages her previous experience at top media companies such as Meredith Corporation, Hearst Magazines, and Getty Images to strategically grow and monetize BuzzFeed’s lifestyle portfolio. Melinda joined BuzzFeed in May 2018 from Meredith Corporation where she served as Senior Vice President and General Manager of Video. Prior to Meredith Studios, she was VP of Digital Content and Audience Development at Hearst Magazines, and General Manager of Getty Images Music. Melinda has also held positions at ZenCat Entertainment, Joost, and MTV Networks.
