Matt Ryan

Matt Ryan, computer nerd, spends his time obsessing over new technology building engineering organizations. As Director of Engineering at Sweetgreen he has most recently dedicated his focus to enabling Sweetgreen on their journey from a salad company to a food platform powered by technology achieving unicorn status along the way.

Previously Matt has propelled the Huge team forward by managing both remote and local teams of developers while architecting and developing custom solutions for high profile work as seen at CES and in the wild. He has also spent time sharing his learnings by conducting AI workshops at General Assembly, SXSW, and O'Reilly Design Conference.

Earlier in Matt’s career he played an integral role as the CTO of Sanky Inc., a web marketing firm in NYC, where he built online fundraising platforms for clients such as The Smithsonian, African Wildlife Foundation, and Covenant House.

For the entirety of his career Matt has dedicated himself to bringing software to the most current of technologies, releasing cutting edge apps, and continuing his education. He has studied computer science, linguistics, and process design at Brooklyn College and MIT.
