Biography

Matt Faulk is the CEO and Founding Principle at BASIC, a design agency that lives at the intersection of culture and commerce. With a career that began as a junior designer with a dream, Matt has transitioned into an award winning creative director and an agency leader that is nationally recognized. As the visionary director at BASIC, Matt oversee’s the growth of the agency and leads creative efforts across traditional and digital initiatives for brands including Apple / Beats by Dre, Billabong, Nixon Watches, New Era Cap, Blue Shield of California and Sony Playstation.

Matt is a strong believer in the power of emotion, systems thinking combined with storytelling, and the fact that brands should strive to be more human - a philosophy that has helped BASIC and the clients they work with find continued growth and success.

Matt’s work has been recognized globally by The Webby Awards, Pixel Awards, The Addy Awards, .net magazine, Awwwards, FWA, Behance and numerous other publications. He is a frequent speaker at creative conferences, industry events and enjoys meeting with and mentoring up-and-coming start-ups and creative professionals.
