Biography

Logan Green is CEO and Co-Founder of Lyft, the fasting growing ridesharing network in the U.S. Lyft’s mission is to improve people’s lives by creating the world’s best transportation. Since launching in 2012, Lyft has provided hundreds of millions of rides, and now operates in over 350 cities across the country. Logan has grown Lyft to more than 1,800 employees, including a world class executive team from companies such as Facebook, Google, Apple, Amazon, and Walmart. Lyft has raised over $2.85 billion from leading investors General Motors, Andreessen Horowitz, KKR, Founders Fund, Carl Icahn, Rakuten, and Ballie Gifford.

Logan has long been fascinated by innovation in transportation, having grown up in Los Angeles spending countless hours stuck in traffic. As a college student at UC Santa Barbara, Logan launched the university’s first car-sharing program, and served on the board of the Santa Barbara Metropolitan Transit District.

Lyft originated out of Zimride, a long-distance ridesharing company Logan founded in 2007, with the goal of creating a more social, sustainable and affordable transportation system. The inspiration came from a trip to Zimbabwe, where Logan saw the immense success of the local ridesharing system. When the company transitioned to focus on Lyft, the Zimride business unit was acquired by Enterprise.
