Biography
JOHN LONG has held creative posts in Los Angeles, Austin, and New York. At Ogilvy, he leads creative on a group of accounts including UPS, IKEA, IHG, Barclays and Samsung. He began his Ogilvy career leading the Starbucks, Jägermeister and Southwest Airlines accounts. John came to Ogilvy from Code and Theory, where co-led brand creative and helmed some of the agency’s highest-profile initiatives such as “Peace Whopper” for Burger King and “No Maybes” for Maybelline New York. Prior to Code, he was Creative Director at Huge’s flagship office in Brooklyn where he led the Nestlé, Pizza Hut, DICK’S Sporting Goods and TD Ameritrade accounts. A writer by trade, John has received over two dozen industry awards and has been published in The Drum, Campaign and McSweeney’s. He and his wife Jodie live with the two biggest Nintendo fans in the tri- state area, Allen and Thomas, and a treat-addicted Jack Russell/Beagle named Twix in Bedford, New York.
