John Battelle

Editor in Chief and CEO of NewCo Platform, Battelle is also Chair of sovrn Holdings, Inc., a Board Director of Acxiom, Inc., a NYSE‐listed company, and a Director at Chute Inc. Best known for his work creating media properties, John founded Federated Media Publishing in 2005 and served as CEO and Chairman until the company was acquired in early 2014. In addition, John was the Co‐Founder, Executive Producer and Program Chair of the Web 2 Summit, author of the international bestseller The Search, founder and CEO of Standard Media International ‐ publisher of The Industry Standard, and a co‐founding editor of Wired magazine and Wired Ventures.
