Fiona Gibb is a digital editorial veteran who has launched and grown award-winning sites and apps for a variety of audiences: teenage girls, beauty junkies, new moms, and entertainment lovers.
In her current role at HBO, Fiona leads a team of editors who curate content and create branded campaigns within HBO’s standalone streaming products, HBO NOW and HBO GO. Since launching HBO NOW in 2015, the platform has received critical acclaim and three Webby awards.
Prior to her time at HBO, Fiona was the longtime editor of allure.com, where she was responsible for digital content strategy, growth, and distribution. At Allure, Fiona created key content and video franchises, launched the brand on social media, and grew the site from 100,000 monthly visitors to more than 3 million. She partnered closely with the print team on a number of digital extensions, including The Allure Beauty Product Finder and The Allure Beauty Blogger Awards, and helped allure.com take home a couple of Webbys along the way.
Previously, Fiona also editorial director of the seminal teen sites seventeen.com and alloy.com, and helped launch parents.com. Her writing and reporting has appeared in top print and digital titles including Allure, elle.com, and refinery29.com. Fiona has also taught digital writing and editing at New York University.
