Dr. Helen Papagiannis

Dr. Helen Papagiannis, Ph.D. is internationally recognized as a leading expert in Augmented Reality (AR). Her work spans nearly 15 years in the field as a designer, researcher, and technology evangelist. She is the author of “Augmented Human: How Technology Is Shaping The New Reality” published by O’Reilly (2017), which is available globally in 4 languages. Dr. Papagiannis is also the host and creator of the interactive Instagram game
“Real or AR” and founder of “XR Goes Pop” a digital magazine dedicated to AR, VR, and virtual beings. She is the former Chief Innovation Officer at Infinity Augmented Reality Inc. (acquired by Alibaba), and was a Senior Research Associate at York University’s Augmented Reality Lab.
