Biography

Diane Tryneski is Executive Vice President, Technology, and Chief Digital Officer for Home Box Office. She is responsible for technology strategy and implementation; her portfolio includes: digital products; production services; media & information technology services; content & information security as well as R&D.

Tryneski has led the transformation from a primarily broadcast-focused, technical operation to a multi-faceted, flexible, media operation supporting HBO’s global all-platform distribution strategy. Under her leadership, HBO Technology has established a holistic, integrated, and agile approach to content capture and delivery. This media supply chain enabled the successful launch of HBO’s stand-alone, streaming product, HBO Now, in April of 2015.

Tryneski joined HBO in December 2008 as Senior Vice President, Broadcast and Studio Operations & Engineering. From 1987 to 2008, Tryneski worked at the Disney-ABC Television Group, where her last role was Senior Vice President, TV Operations. She briefly left ABC in 2003 for a three year stint at the Discovery Channel, where she was Executive Vice President, Discovery Production Group, Technology and Media Services.

Tryneski is a member of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences (NATAS) and New York Women in Film and Television (NYWIFT). She was inducted into the YWCA’s Academy of Women Achievers in 1998. In 2010, she received a National Association of Broadcasters’ Technology Leadership Award from Broadcasting & Cable, and was named one of 2011’s Wonder Women by Multichannel News.

Tryneski earned her B.A. in journalism and communications from Rutgers University.
