Biography

Alex Rappaport is the co-founder of Flocabulary, a learning platform offering educational hip-hop videos and creativity
tools to help students thrive. A musician by training, Alex bootstrapped Flocabulary into a leading edtech company
that reaches millions of students around the world. In April 2019, Flocabulary was acquired by Nearpod, the
comprehensive student engagement platform for K-12 education.
Named one of Fast Company's Most Creative People in Business, Alex is a regular author and speaker on education,
entrepreneurship and social enterprise. Alex is also the creator of Big Idea Week, a community-supported
entrepreneurship program for elementary and middle schools. Alex lives in Brooklyn, NY.
